The Good – Tasty Flavors, Great Variety In Taste And Texture
I chose to give one a try and came across these bars while shopping at Costco. They are able to serve as an easy bite or a complete meal replacement. Most snack bars that are healthful have an unappetizing or bland flavor. KIND bars, as usual, are not like the others because the chocolate-like and nutty flavor was incredible. It’s made of cherries and cranberries with almonds and entire cashews nuts; all of which I adore! In addition, I know some people who are on strict “All-Natural Carb Blocker” diets. It helps maintain a low calorie dietic intake for the day while satisfying cravings.
I refrigerate these in summer time or they kind of “wilt”. What I truly value about such bars is the fact that it actually takes time to consume and love them. These nuts-bars are designed to be eaten slowly and chewed, unlike junk food “nutrition bars” where you take a few bites then it vanishes like Hoodini. This is why it’s so easy to gain weight when you overeat.
I believe they’re worth the price, and that I understand should you discover them in an area supermarket, they cost way more. It’s always better to buy these in bulk or in boxes online because you ultimately save way more money and receive far more product with your dollars. It’s win/win.
I prefer protein bars – as you rush out to catch a bus or plane- when they finish, I exercise a lot so it’s natural that I get very hungry and need that “something” to tidy me over. Therefore I’ve tried plenty of bars and honestly they range from approximately poor, pretending to be something (chocolate!) to mimicking the real thing.
Since these are full of nuts, you’ll feel full very fast while eating something very healthy and natural. Plus, being nuts, it’s got lots of protein! This could be a comon staple in many people’s kitchens or cupboards.
As a meal replacement, it’s just 5 grams of sugar which gives you enough flavor to taste good but not overload you on too much junk. The fiber in KIND bars are also good in helping you “stay regular” and keep your body’s fat absorption to a minimum. Also, these are Gluten Free (for those who have gluten allergies) and are Non-GMO unlike a number of other bars. Overall, a wholesome alternative that is wonderful.
The Poor – The Quantity/Size Proved To Be Bad In Some Cases
Some complained that the size of these bars are too small. This is a common complaint against KIND bars and this one is no different. The usefulness of this “snack” is just that, a snack. It’s not a “dedicated” meal replacement bar like Quest nutrition bars tend to be but if you’re in a pinch and need to suppress your appetite without overeating, then this will get the job done.
Sometimes if you get unlucky or don’t like nuts in general, you’re going to have potential issues with these bars. But chances are if you’re reading this, you probably don’t have to worry about nut allergies.
Now, I was surprised to see soy lecithin in this product. Soy lecithin is not always recorded on the image of the ingredients list but is written on the carton. I was disappointed to learn this. Aside from that, it is a great tasting bar.
Overall, if you like nuts in general, then this bar will be a perfect fit for you and is pretty cheap to buy. Again, only in bulk. Singles cost way too much if you buy it at Starbucks or a supermarket store.
You can buy the KIND bars on Amazon here because it’s super cheap in 12 packs.
