They’re chocolate FLAVOR, not real chocolate bars! They do create a little bit of an aftertaste, as well as the brand new formula is not as great as the old formula in my opinion, but they aren’t poor. You need to eat one with a glass of plain water (highly recommended), as the directions indicate. These bars are a great morning “bite” bar to replace standard granola bars or yogurt. They are also not high on sugar alcohols, so like other products do, they don’t irritate my belly.
A friend of mine has been working on slimming down, 50 pounds down up to now, extremely hard work! O.k. with that said, I’ve got to confess that they do not taste the best. But because these are so much cheaper than other protein bars, I had to pick these up for the health and money savings.
I occasionally enjoy these occasionally if I don’t eat like 10 of these in 1 day. Because they’re so small I usually eat a couple in every “mini-meal” to keep myself from going hungry. I propose purchasing one box online before deciding on purchasing these in large bulk. I’ve likewise tried the other flavorful ones as well as the peanut butter chocolate with caramel. The peanut butter type is really great, these are o.k. The type that is caramel was a bit off.
But if you haven’t noticed, I really like Pure Protein bars! I change between Quest bars and these. All these are considerably more easy on the wallet and help give so much protein. When I’m in a hurry and want something quickly, I eat them. I try not to eat too many of these but they taste fantastic when you’re hungry. You could try warming these up in a toaster oven or microwave but I wouldn’t recommend it. I would use a light amount of low fat yogurt or ice cream instead if you’re looking to create a “snack”. It makes for such a wonderful, rich dessert, with almost no sugar content, and it’s also tremendously pleasing.
The value pack is the reason why I bought them. They’re better and more economical in bulk packs. Depending on your taste, you might get a slight aftertaste as some others have mentioned. A friend’s husband was suspicious of these at first, and hilariously, he’d refuse to eat them. But he tried one of these before working out he said he loved them! The husband also happens to be a blood donor/plasma giver (what a nice guy!) so he needs high amounts of protein to keep himself well. These cheap nutrition bars do the trick for him.
Another friend of mine has bought these for a couple of years now and adores eating one weekly, mainly for lunch.
The main advantage Pure Protein bars have (as a brand) versus the others like Caveman, Gatorade, MetRX, Quest is they have very low calories and it’s one of the cheapest brands on the market. Think of these as cheap versions of Quest bars.
But if you don’t want soy, Quest is still pretty good.
Overall, these health protein bars satisfy all my requirements for a protein bar that is perfect. They can be inexpensive, delicious, low in carbs, and whey protein is used by them. Provided that you keep eating these within an 8-12 month window, they taste wonderful. Since there are no preservatives (most protein bars don’t have that) you really need to make sure you eat these before they go stale.
Aside from that, you won’t be disappointed with Pure Protein bars.
Buy Pure Protein Bars online here because they’re much cheaper online than in a store, typically.
