Tastes easy and great. Not overly sugary like most other nutrition/meal bars in the marketplace. This is a huge plus to me. The feel isn’t grainy or crunchy. Though you can discreetly taste the whey protein, it is more like a nugget. We love it as a household. To begin with, of the combined orders of 2 boxes of Rise almond protein bars who had it, I haven’t had 1 old tasting or dry bar in any way.
I have been trying to find a protein bar that does not taste like cardboard for now and is actually wholesome, and clean. I have tried various ones at health shops like GNC/Vitamin Shoppe and others, including protein bars like Cliff and the all-popular Quest. As you may know, I’ve bought variety packs in the past to be to try out the different flavors each brand has. Although more expensive, you can do the same so you know what the flavors you may or may not like with any protein bars. Consistent variety can be had if you buy boxes of nutrition bars whose flavors you 100% know you will like.
I bought a Rise protein bar variety pack that had protein almond, coconut energy, and diverse nut energy bars. The last two flavors weren’t as good as the almond one, I will have to admit.
The good news is, if you’re walking around or just finished an intense work out, you will usually work up a big appetite. It really stinks to binge eat and lose all your healthful gains when attempting to eat healthy after doing so. This is why protein bars are so important to your diet and exercise plan. These Rise bars not only help begin to build muscle but they also satisfy your cravings for real food since this nutrition bar actually is made of real food ingredients, which triggers your brain’s satiation hormones. For this reason, I began look into better protein bars since I’m currently focused on staying young and healthy (I’m 34 as I write this). Rise bars hands down has carried me through the “crazed” hungry feeling that I always get, plus it also tastes pretty dang great. I had some of my workout friends at the gym try and they reported similar results to me.
I really like the simplicity of the fixings, the flavor, the feel, as well as the quantity of protein these Rise bars have. They were a little high-priced purchasing them separately every week, so I eventually had to buy these online in bulk. The cost was studied by me on other web sites and here, and I located purchasing them from here by the carton would save me a lot per bar!
The gym I go to carries a wide assortment of different protein bars for sale and they sold one of these that day. They weren’t bad but they charged me $3.50 for one. At least it tasted great but if you can, buy online. Retail stores/areas are almost always way too over-priced.
The main benefit if Rise is, it is not packaged with soy but instead whey protein, and has up to 20 grams of protein using nothing but real, organic ingredients. All these are good and great for you. I have also attempted PX90 workout so on days I use to do that, I ate like 3 or 4 of these afterwards. The most important thing is a protein bar refills your protein needs and keeps you fulfilled and not hungry.
This bar tastes a whole lot like eating almond butter. It is not the syrupy sweet but closer to real honey flavor. Despite the honey, you can still taste the almond butter. The feel is a good deal like thick fudge to me. A few other reviewers have said some bars are harder than many others. I didn’t find this to be too tough, although softness can and does differ from box to box. In addition, there is no chocolate coating on these so if you decide to do auto-delivery options online, you won’t have to worry about melted protein bars on hot summer days.
In conclusion, I like really like these protein bars. They are indeed very easy on the stomach and act as great meal replacements. Because they’re a little expensive in singles, I recommend buying these in the 12 pack or bigger boxes. If you like the taste of these, you’ll probably want to add this to your future rotation of healthy meal diet rotations.
You can purchase Rise protein bars online at Amazon here because it’s much cheaper than a retail store.
